Specialised jobs boards are proving invaluable when looking for Telecommunication Jobs. If you have applied for jobs at the mainstream sites like monster then you will be familiar with the impersonal nature of looking for a career in a massive website. We examine how a small telecoms jobs board is leading the way in recruitment solutions
Telcojobs.eu was set up this year with the aim of providing a more personal touch for telecoms professionals in Europe. Try finding a telecoms job in Sweden on the mainstream sites. You’ll probably never hear back from the company, not because of your qualifications are not up to scratch, but because the company will probably be swamped with CVs form everywhere.
James Fallon lost his job at Ericssons in Germany 4 months ago due to the credit crunch. He was employed as a systems engineer and had unsuccessfully used all of the mainstream jobs boards in his quest for a new telecoms career.
He then found a more upfront telecoms jobs website called Telcojobs.eu that looked after his needs.
After 3 weeks he had found his ideal job as a systems engineer in the UK. “I didn’t feel that the bigger recruitment boards were listening to me” said Derrick.
Specialised recruitment solutions are appearing now on the net and present a real challenge to the established recruitment boards. Eamonn Murray, who runs Telcojobs.eu knows that customer support is the most important part of his business.
“More clients are coming to us looking for relevant CVs” says Eamonn. “They are fed up with hundreds of resumes in their inbox. A client would prefer a few well targeted resumes and we can provide quality telecom jobs CV to the industry”.
There has been a big increase in niche jobs boards over the previous 18 months which is great news for job seekers.
The big job sites have recognised this but don’t know how to deal with this threat to their business. Some have added live chat modules to their sites but the level of support is still inadequate.
Eamonn Murray believes that Telcojobs will never have this problem as the niche (telecoms jobs) and the market size is limited so the customer care will always be there.
